The world is moving forward, however the lawyers especially in Pakistan are still largely dependent on the books which tends to make the job more tough.

As a LLB student, I also found it quite hard to reach the exact article or Section from constitution of Pakistan 1973, Criminal proceedings, Pakistan penal code and number of laws related to one particular cause or the keyword.

From there, I started looking for the search engine and found websites like findlaw and others but they all tends to crawl the website and find the research articles but not the specific law, we are looking for.

The taxation, corporations and numbers of other law related entities also found it extremely hard to get the exact law that they are looking for. In result, they tend to hire the experts which charge alot of money and still are not updated with the latest legislation, as it is beyond the capacity of human mind to remember and stay updated with thousands of laws without any help from the machine.

It takes few hours to few months to search for the relevant laws from the books and other resources. Even, the google.com is not able to solve this problem to that extent.

While going through this visible problem, I was also a developer and co-founder of IT based firm sobdar.com. At the point, I realized that if there is no solution, I am capable of creating one. I spent hours, days, weeks and months to achieve that and created an law search engine named Whatslaw on my own expertise and expenses.

The search engine is currently on the sub domain of sobdar.com and the backbone is ready. The website is whatslaw.sobdar.com and the database is updated everyday.
we would be covering the pakistani laws and soon we would cover the all countries and once it is ready for the production, we will rebrand it and buy the domain for it.
But, it works. So if you are looking for a solution and going through the same problem, please visit https://whatslaw.sobdar.com and if you want to contribute in the struggle, please reach me at Suprin@sobdar.com.
